Bandit, Support Dog

Bandit has been supporting WellNest in person children & youth clients since 2020. Bandit began as Eva and her families foster dog who they quickly adopted because of his gentle, calm and loving nature. Bandit has a love for playing fetch, running and swimming. Although very active outside, inside Bandit wants nothing but to comfort, be pet and to take a nap on your feet. He’s not shy and will gently ask for attention in the sweetest of ways. Bandit has helped many children and youth work through their fear of dogs in sessions. When he sees a child or youth who is struggling emotionally he intentionally comes to give comfort and support. He truly loves his job and being with children and youth of all ages. If your child/youth is coming for in person sessions you will be asked on the intake form if you’d like them to be given the option to have Bandit in sessions.

Adrienne Côté, CNP, CNNP

Holistic Nutritionist

Adrienne Côté (She/her) is a Certified and Registered Holistic Nutritionist (CNP, CNNP), Birth Worker, and Mother. She also holds a degree in Sociology from Carleton University and a Social Service Worker Diploma from Sheridan College and has worked with children and families in diverse roles for over 15 years.

Beginning with her time as a Counsellor within a nonprofit accredited children’s mental health centre for young parents in Toronto, she learned the importance of prenatal and postpartum health care, especially for those who are vulnerable.  She went on to complete her training and certification as a Prenatal and Postpartum Doula and Birth Educator and continues to work with families providing birth and postpartum support and education in this capacity.

Adrienne’s time spent working with parents and babies in these roles naturally fueled her desire to support families even further. This led her to study Holistic Nutrition and become a Certified Nutrition Practitioner, specializing in Prenatal, Postpartum, and Family Care.

As a Mother herself, she understands the importance of practical and easy ways to support our health when we have so little time and energy to devote to it. As a Holistic Nutritionist, she works with parents and families to not only provide the science behind nutrition but how to incorporate it into everyday life with ease. Her goal for her clients is for them to feel heard, nurtured, supported, and confident in implementing their health plan while finding joy in eating and food with their families.
